GlobalStar Travel Management launches new organization

March 31, 2009

GlobalStar Travel Management has launched its new organization with a newly formed Global Executive Team ensuring a solidly professional future for the GlobalStar organization. GlobalStar originated in 2001 as a partner network of independent TMCs whereby dedicated officers at the partners ran the day to day business. GlobalStar advanced its organizational structure as per the first of March this year with a 300% increase in funding, the formation of a new dedicated 8 person executive team and a significantly increased operational commitment from its partners. Concurrently a new GlobalStar corporate identity for the company was created. For the coming year, the team is coordinating its efforts to broaden and enrich the quality of services and products available to partners and clients.

The team will be headed by Bob Morgan who will act as President initially and who becomes Executive Director - Supplier Relations. Peter Klebanow for North America (Global Chairman), John Jansen for EMEA (Global Vice Chairman), Enrique Moreno for Latin America and Claire Gray for ASPAC. The primary role of the operating committee is to execute the strategy as set by the global board, through collaborative management at a daily level. Claire Gray said that the new team will formally be presented to the GlobalStar partners at the GlobalStar annual conference in Macau, 11-13 May this year. Claire: These exciting enhancements were clearly the next step for us and they will make a significant difference in the further development of this young and dynamic organization to become the best alternative to the global mega TMCs
